The new Manukau Line, the first new rail route to be built in 82 years, was officially opened by the mayor on Wednesday 4 April and there will be a community open day on Saturday 14 April to celebrate the new line.

The first scheduled pubilc services along the new branch line begin on Sunday 15 April.

There will be three trains an hour during peak and one train an hour during off peak periods.

Check out the new Southern and Eastern Line timetables here (NB. Manukau Line services are available on both timetables but Manukau Line trains run along the Eastern Line, via Glen Innes).

As well as new services along the Manukau Line there are changes and additional services being made to Southern and Eastern Line timetables introduced on Sunday 15 April.
