Q. What is the Recruitment Process?
A. Veolia Transport’s recruitment process is designed to find the right person for the role we need to fill. It varies in length for each vacancy and we aim to keep you as informed as possible during all the stages. We recognise the time you have invested in applying so we endeavour to operate efficiently and effectively.

Step 1: To apply for a vacancy you will need to submit an online application with a cover letter and CV. Your CV should highlight the skills and experience you've gained throughout your career to date. Visit our Links & Downloads page for advice on CV and cover letter preparation.

Step 2: If your application is successful, we will be in touch with you to arrange an interview. This may be conducted via the telephone, in person, or both. This will enable us to get to know you better and allow you to get to know us. Visit our Links & Downloads page for advice on interview tips and information.

Step 3: Some positions require specific pre-employment checks which may include some, or all, of the following: Reference Checks, Credit Check, Criminal History Check, ACC History Check and Medical Assessment and Drug Screening.

Step 4: We may ask you to complete certain tests pertaining to specific vacancies. This may involve a combination of on-line, supervised and unsupervised ability and psychometric assessments. Some of these pre-employment checks and assessments may take place before your first interview, but they will usually coincide with or follow it.

Step 5: If you are successful in becoming our preferred candidate, your offer of employment will be made via a written employment agreement which you will be able to review and seek independent feedback on. We will notify unsuccessful candidates as soon as possible thereafter.
