Lost Property

Veolia Transport makes every effort to recover lost property from services. Staff collect lost property where possible and hand it in at the end of their shift. It is then catalogued and retained for a period of two weeks.

If you have lost any property, you should phone 09 969 7777 as soon as possible and provide the following information:

  • Your name, address and phone number
  • What day you lost the item
  • What service you were on, and stations you boarded the service and disembarked
  • A full description of the item, i.e. make, model, colour - and any other individual characteristics to identify the property.

These details will be entered into our Lost Property database, which will also be searched for any similar items already located. You will be notified immediately if there is a match - and the item must be collected as soon as possible. When you come to collect your lost property, remember to bring identification with you.

However, because of the volume of lost property, items are only retained for two weeks. If you lost your property more than two weeks ago, we will no longer have it as all items are disposed of after this time.
