Veolia Transport Auckland

Veolia Transport Auckland operates the Auckland passenger rail network on behalf of Auckland Transport, with a contract that runs until June 2016.

The Auckland train network carries 10 million passengers per annum, is serviced by more than 460 Veolia Transport staff, and operates more than 1900 services each week.

Under Veolia's management, punctuality has increased from 57.9% in August 2005, to between 80% and 84%. Click here for the most recent performance results.

Providing excellent customer service during the $1.6 billion upgrade of Auckland's rail network is a key focus. 

Veolia Transport is actively involved in supporting Auckland rail initiatives including the completion of the Auckland Electrification Project and procurement of the new electric trains expected to arrive from 2013.

We support Auckland Transport's initiatives to extend the rail network, upgrade rail stations and procure new rolling stock, in line with the Regional Land Transport Strategy 2003.
